Rectangular Hollow Section

Rectangular hollow sections are the practical middle ground between a beam and a tube: enough depth to span efficiently, a closed profile that will not twist or buckle laterally, and four flat faces that make fabrication straightforward.

Sizes are quoted as depth × width × wall thickness, for example 200 × 100 × 8. Because the two dimensions differ, orientation is part of the specification — each size page below lists the dimensions and weight per metre in full.
