How it works

How our Cutting Plans save you money

Our nesting system works out the most efficient way to cut your required lengths from available stock beams — currently 6.1m, 8m, 9.5m, 11m, 12.2m, 13m, 14m and 15.5m lengths.

Because we buy from multiple regional stockists, we can mix different stock lengths from different suppliers in a single cutting plan — dramatically reducing offcuts and material waste.

That means the cheapest cost per kg is not always the cheapest overall price. Our plan finds the exact combination that gives you the best total delivered price, accounting for material, cutting, processing and haulage together.

The system also factors in cutting kerf (blade width), transport load optimisation, grade availability by supplier, and programme-sequenced delivery — so you get fewer loads, less site handling, and steel that arrives when you need it.

Every quotation includes a visual cutting plan showing exactly which stock lengths are used, where each cut falls, and what waste remains. No guesswork. No hidden extras. Just the most efficient route from mill to site.
