12 x 180 x 16.96 kg Flatbar S275 is a mild steel flat measuring 12 × 180 mm, used as plate stock for splices, packers, gussets and flitch work. Bolt spacing and edge distance are what govern a flitch design far more often than the steel section itself — the plate is only as good as the bolt group transferring load into it.
