50 x 100 x 39.3 kg Flatbar S275
Rolled as a flat bar measuring 50 × 100 mm, the 50 x 100 x 39.3 kg Flatbar S275 covers everything from a simple packer to a structural flitch plate. Used as a splice or gusset, thickness and hole layout are the critical dimensions; the plate must be at least as strong as the members it joins.

At 39.3 kg per metre, one tonne buys roughly 25.4 linear metres. This is a mid-weight member: comfortable for a telehandler or small mobile crane, and heavy enough to carry meaningful load without doubling up. Held in S275 to BS EN 10025-2 and cut to length before it leaves the yard. Mill certificates accompany every load, and any fabrication is executed under our BS EN 1090 EXC 3 factory production control.
Typically specified for packers and shims, stiffeners to existing steel, bracing straps, fabricated brackets and edging and trim to steelwork.
For flitch plates, drill on site only as a last resort — accurate shop drilling keeps the bolt group true through both timbers.
