At this weight the section is a genuine two-person lift over short distances, so it suits refurbishment work, tight access and sites without craneage. Held in S275 to BS EN 10025-2 and cut to length before it leaves the yard. Mill certificates accompany every load, and any fabrication is executed under our BS EN 1090 EXC 3 factory production control.
Typically specified for edging and trim to steelwork, timber flitch beams, splice and gusset plates, base and cap plates and packers and shims.
For flitch plates, drill on site only as a last resort — accurate shop drilling keeps the bolt group true through both timbers.
